AchieveMents: Achievements • Over 8000 direct beneficiaries of various project spread among 3 district of Northern Chhattisgarh. • Formation and nurturing over 850 Women self help groups, cumulative saving INR 12.6 million. Credit Mobilized for SHGs from Nationalized Banks up to INR 18.67 Millions. • Promotion of NTFP, Medicinal Plants and horticulture species for additional source of income among tribes. Establishment of marketing and Value addition Facility for related products. • Spearheaded Promotion of Lac cultivation spread among 5200 beneficiaries, quadrupled Production in 3 years. • Development of entrepreneurship and marketable skills among youth, over 350 trained youth successfully running small business . • Water conservation awareness drive and watershed development program converged with livelihood promotion in two blocks of Raigarh district. • Network of 836 Community health worker (MITANINS) in two blocks of Raigarh District to addresses Mother and child care issues . • Village level awareness rising campaigns at regular intervals for children’s nutrition requirement, sanitation, immunization and family planning issues. • Designated monitor For Projects sanctioned to agencies under National Forestation and Eco-development Board (NAEB-MoEF-GOI and Chhattisgarh state Medicinal Plants Board. • Technical Support Institution (TSI) to District planning Committee (DPCs) in two districts of Chhattisgarh, for decentralized annual planning of various development schemes. • Empanelled as Agency for Micro planning under rural development and forest departments of Chhattisgarh Government. Prepared micro plans for over 366 villages, Panchyats, and Joint forest management committees (JFMCs). Divisions : • Jan mitram is providing variety of services to community Wide array of our services need specific division of labor among teams. Therefore , We have three distinct divisions, which shoulder different type of responsibilities. • A. Project Implementation Division: This division which looks after long-term projects given by external agencies, especially those who jump to more than one financial year. Accounts are kept separate so that various funding agencies can access any time, how their funds are utilized. Staff of PID, except seniors, also varies according to the number and need of projects. • B. Social Services Division: This division’s mandate is to serve to poor, advocate for weaker sections, human rights and various awareness activities. A permanent Crisis Management Cell has been constituted in SSD, including volunteers and workers. This cell run relief operations during natural disasters i.e. flood, fire, accidents etc. SSD receives its fund from member’s contribution and donations. • C. Survey, Monitoring and Evaluation Division: This is small but efficient group of experts, who shoulders short time assignments of organization. Its scope of work is Survey, data collection, Micro-planning, project planning, Monitoring & Evaluation of projects, Documentation and report preparation for Organization and Other agencies.
