Jan Shikshan Sansthan is a scheme of Ministry of Human Resources Development. Department of School Education and Literacy. Government of India and continuing in 271 districts of Different States of India. Jan Shikshan Sansthan Latur is Working Since May 2009 under the ages of Shri. Balaji Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Ambajogai Dist Beed establish by Shri. Rajkishor Kantaprasad Modi this Jan Shikshan Sansthan working in Latur District of Marathwada Reason which is one of the most backward area of India. The area of Latur District is about 7157 Sq Km and population is around 2454196 the objective of Jan Shikshan Sansthan Latur is Skill Development and life enrichment education of those who are in the age group of 15-40 year having no of rudimentary levels of education. The target group of Jan Shikshan Sansthan is schedule Castes, Schedule Tribes, Other backward Class and Minorities. Jan Shikshan Sansthan Latur in working in two directions Providing Vocational Courses and 2) Organizing awareness programs in rural areas to aware people on various national and local issues. The Jan Shikshan Sansthan is providing long and short duration vocational training programs in more than 30 different trades in rural areas as per the needs of villagers and as availability of resources of the district. The important long duration courses consist of 6 month and short duration courses consist of 3 or less than 3 months. The important long duration courses are dress making, cutting and tailoring. Fashion disengaging, Beauty Culture, and Healthcare and short duration courses are Jute craft. Hand embroidery, Machine embroidery, Zari Zardozi and ari work, Fabric Painting, etc. Since 2009 Jan Shikshan Sansthan Latur has provided training to more than 15400 rural and urban areas youths including male and female. Most of the youth are self reliant and earning good amount of money under the awareness programs Jan Shikshan Sansthan organized various activities such as Ambedkar Jayanti (14 April), No Tobacco Day (31 may), International Environment Day (5 June), World Population (11 July), International Literacy Day (8 Sept.), Gandhi Jayanti (2nd Oct.), National Youth Day (12Jan.), International Womenââ¬â¢s Day ( 8 March ), Personality Development for Resource Persons Ex trainees meet and some other activities related to health, drinking water and sanitation etc. Apart from this Jan Shikshan Sansthan played a significant role to implements programs of Central Government such as Sakshar Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna. Swakshar Bharat Abhiyan, Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana etc.
