AchieveMents: 1) To improve the occupational skill skill & technical knowledge of the neo-literates & the trainees & to raise their efficiency & increase productive ability. 2) To provide academic & technical resource support to Zilla Saksharata Samitis in taking up vocational & skill development programmes for neo-literates in both urban & rural areas. 3) To serve as nodal continuing education centers & to co-ordinate, superwise & monitor 10-15 continuing education centers/nodal centers. 4) To organize training & orientation courses for key Resource Persons, Master Trainers on designing, development & implementation of Skill Development programmes under scheme of Continuing Education for Neo-literats. 5) To organize equivalency programmes through Open Learning system 6) To widen the range of knowledge & understaiding of social, economic & political systems in order to create awareness about the environment. 7) To promote national goals such as secularism, national integration, population & development, women’s equality, protection & conservation of environment 8) To organize the programmes relating of training of Self Help Gruoup (SHGs) member, formation of SHGs. 9) Training and other programmes of D.R.D.A. and Zila Parishads various department 10) Identify appropriate target areas & target groups by developing socio-economic profiles. 11) Identify & procure the list of neo-literates from ZillaSaksharata Samiti & ensure atlist 25% of the clientele of JSS is neo-literates. 12) Organize training programmes for key resource persons, Master Trainers & trainees in vocational courses & for neo-literates. 13) Identify & ascertain a varity of educational & vocational needs of different categories of clientele groups. 14) Plan & organize polyvalent educational programmes & other activities including Literacy, Post Literacy & Continuing Education of suit the learning requirement of the target groups. 15) Explore innovate work out alternatives, try new methodologies to meets needs of different of target groups. 16) co-operate with Educational, Cultural & other social organizations involved in organizing programmes & activities to meet educational, vocational, social, cultural & welfare needs of target groups. 17) Act as a co-ordinator, facilitator & catalytic agent by developing a system of networking in collaboration woth other educational & technical institutions, development departments welfare agencies, employers & workers organization, voluntary agencies, economic enterprises. 18) Undertake training & orientation ot Resource Persons/Instructors involved in planning & implementation of various programmes. 19) Organize equivalency programmes through Open Learning Systems. 20) Organize library & reading rooms facilities. The library will have literature suitable for neo-literates & sale counters for distributions of literacy material subsided rates to the neo-literates & other interested readers. 21) Provide consultancy services to agencies & enterprises planning to organize programmes for training & educations of similar target groups. 22) Organize educational & vocational training programmes with special concern for deprived sections, women/girls, unemployment youths to provide new skill, refine/sharpen/up grade the existing skill leading to employment, self employment & income generation. 23) Promote organization of forums such as co-oprerative societies, mandals & associations of women, ypuths & workers with a view to undertake collective activity for socio-economic development. 24) Provide follows-up services to beneficiaries of the JSS.
