AchieveMents: Kalagangotri, a theatre group established in 1971 is promoting theatre activities in Karnataka performing plays of different authors and has given over 3000 shows across India and abroad.
Kalagangotri is also a mime troupe and has trained 100s of students in mime.
Achievements:
1. Has been in theatre from past 46 years.
2. Performed many street plays for social causes.
3. The troupe has been performing from past 36 years the great political satire "Mukyamantri" and has seen over 600 shows.
4. We have give over 1200 mime performances.
5. We have performed a family musical play "Mysooru Mallige" over 225 shows from past 10 years.
6. Troupe has performed Sarswathi samman awarded novel based play "Mandra".
7. Troupe has performed Jnanapeetha awarded novel based play "Mookajjiya Kanasugalu".
8. Troupe is organizing theatre workshops every year to promote theatre activities among school, college children and Youth.
9. Kalagangotri has over 100 ameature artists with senior awarded and recognized artists and also younger generation.
