AchieveMents: Dr. Lt. K.P. Sridhar is the managing trustee in Karupa foundation and he is involved in the field of rescue operations for past 12 years and he has designed a Robot to rescue children from bore-well in the year 2003 and the same was implemented in various operations and also was tested and approved by IIT Madras and it has been implemented in Government of Tamil Nadu in the year 2014. With the help of his Robot, he has rescued a kid from Bore Well in ARCOT VELLOR on 12 APRIL 2015, in 20 minutes of his arrival. Same, in Karur, he has rescued in 15 minutes after his arrival to the spot, these rescue published in Press. He has involved himself in various operations in various places like Karur, Thyagadurgam, Thiruvannamalai, Vellore and Arni. He has trained Fire and Rescue Department, Govt of Tamil Nadu for such operations at Coimbatore and Ambatur District. The participants were Fire Officer Range and his training was appreciated by the officials and received citation for that operations. He was called by NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) to sign a MoU for further rescue operations and it is in process of drafting MoU and communicating for the final sitting. He has been to the above said operations in his own expenses and did all the operations even as a salaried person, he never claimed fund for rescue purpose even not from any agency, he presented his project in various opportunities and got various awards for this Project. He was one of the resource persons to give awareness on rescue robots in various institutions in and around Tamil Nadu and created may programmes to make the public, aware of the disasters in many academic places
