AchieveMents: Nagari Seva Prabodhini is a registered Non Government Organisation established by Maharashtra State Government Employees Confederation a non political body, having 500000 members in 35 Districts of Maharashtra state. Since 1995 it has working for target intervention of HIV AIDS with vulunerable population like Migrants, Commerical Sex workers, Bar Girls and Trukers.
Nagari Seva Prabodhini organised 171 workshops were Organized exclusivelyu for police Constables, SRP Jawans as desired by General pf Police Mumbai.
NSP is presently working on following major projects under guidance of Mumbai Districts AIDS Control Society.
1 Project for Bar Girls employed in Bars (1119) Kurla Chembur Mankhurd.
2 Project for bar Bar Girls employed in 60 Bars (1938) and residing in South Mumbai.
3 Project for Bar Girls employed in Bars (1587) Chembur Camp, Chita Camp and Antop hill.
4 Project for Hotel Boys (11566) 360 Hostel in South Mumbai.
NSP is Providing following Health services to the HIV vulunerable population
1 Regular Medical Checkup
2 HIV Testing
3 CD 4 Blood Count
4 Sexually transmitted Diseases treatment
5 Counseling
6 Referral services at Govt Hospital
7 Free supply of Male and Female Condom
At present the NSP is providing Health servise to 220 HIV Positive patient throught its four projects. Besides Health services, it is also playing a roll of supporting partner to these patients by providing facility like helping to look after child education of HIV positive mothers, sharing burden of health services during their serious sickness.
