AchieveMents: Samabhavana Society is non profit community based organisation and its board consists of people from different walks of life, undertaken programmes across India and project implementation in Mumbai, Pune and Mathura and is well equipped in the areas of project planning and management as it is ISO 9001:2008 Certified organisation,one of the very few Non Government organisations to have certification in India, having Environmental health Safety Policy and Child Protection Policy in Place along with non discrimination code of conduct on gender, class, creed, race, age, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, religion, language, marital status or political conviction Key projects in 6 different areas: MANAGEMENT: TI Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society in Pune City for MSM Community Resource and Information Centre on Gender, Sexuality and Human Rights comprising of more then 600 Audio visuals, Press Cuttings in three languages, English, Hindi and Marathi since 1982, Manuals, Research documents, Books, Periodicals more then 1500 on range of topics, IT:www.indiaids.org Communication: IVRS Toll free Help line 1800 22 2199 on issues based on Sexuality, Sex and Human rights RESEARCH:extensive research conducted available on website CAPACITY BUILDING: Technical Support to Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society, Goa State AIDS Control Society, Gujarat State AIDS Control Society IEC material: developed-Posters, Animations, Films, Radio Spots and Public Service Advertisements data available on website Training Support:modules for State AIDS Control Society, TI NGOs on HIV/AIDS,Safe sex. Counselling, Project management and to TISS,Nirmala Niketan, and SNDT College of Social Sciences on gender, sexuality and Human Rights, Symbiosis International University, Bhartiya Vidyapeth, Usha Pravin Gandhi College of Management, ILS Law College on gender Sexuality and Human Rights Education Initiatives:developed a 32 credit Integrated Education programme on Gender Sexuality and Human Rights (IEPGSHR) Feeling of Touch,developed a special pedagogy for adolescents, youth and their parents on Child Protection from Abuse, Violence ad Exploitation for class 1st to 6th Livelihood and Sustained Income Generation Project Setu,Matura is based on Backward integration of the migrant community, which builds capacities of the youth at the source to create income generation so as to reduce migration to metros, the program includes organic farming, dairy, goatery, vocational skills training on agro based business ad non agro based initiatives, which is equally partnered by women for their skills development in 36 villages of 10 blocks of Matura District.
