AchieveMents: Established in the year 1990, PARYAVARAN EVAM PRODYOGIKI UTTHAN SAMITI (PEPUS) is engaged in Socio-Economic betterment and ensuring entitlements, rights and social justice to poor, marginalised and socially excluded communities and among them Women, Children and Labouring classes. Major Achievements (31st July 2016): • Till date a total of 35162 migrant workers have been registered with the Shramik Sahayata Kendra (labour Help Center) and photo identity cards have been issued to them. • Till date a total of 1803 agreements have been signed between the migrant workers and contractors/owners. • Till now a total of 2454 banks account have been opened with different banks. • Till now a total of 1960 workers have been linked with BOCW Welfare Board and 319 renewals have been facilitated. 3161 migrants and their family members have benefited from different social security and welfare schemes. • Till now a total of 562 cases have been registered and 311 cases have been resolve. a total of RS.3539016/- unpaid wage has been released to labours. • Till date a total of 3450 youth have been counselled through employment consultation camps • Till date a total of 1288 youth of migrant workers families have completed training in different trades. • 949 trained youths are engaged in income generation activities. • SVS (Swajeevika Vikas Samuh) is a new initiative and is of considerable significance in financial inclusion, women empowerment and social change. Till date 51 SVS (Swajeevika Vikas Samuh) have been formed. total members of SVS is 696 women. Total savings of the SVS is 3,27,950/-. • A labours help line number (09450265964) issued to labors that is active from 10am to 5pm. Till date a total of 2209 calls have been registered by the labour help line. • Health Awareness to brick kiln workers, like HIV / AIDS, diseases related to skin and eyes, asthma, TB, etc. Till date 33 health’s camp organised in which total beneficiaries are 4694. • Till date a total of 4213 migrant community members participated in 85 legal literacy events. • Till now a total of 288 times canopies were organized at different places of project area for dissemination of information. • Till date a total of 1971 village level meetings have been organized. • Till now a total of 1175 meetings have been conducted with PRI representatives. • Till date 5 Pravasi Shramik Sammelans (Migrant Workers summit) were organized in which 2400 members of the Migrant community were present. The summit aimed to generate awareness on the issues of migrant workers.
