AchieveMents: Residential School for Divyang Children:- Sanstha is organizing the residential school for Divyang children M.R. category so that the children can get education by special teachers and better facilities and atmosphere for study which they cannot get in a normal school.
ââ¬Â¢ Spread awareness about education in parents of these children. In starting children didnââ¬â¢t want to go to school and feared to study. But now they love to study and we consider this as our biggest achievement.
ââ¬Â¢ Physical and mental state of the children improved a lot and they are becoming self dependent.
ââ¬Â¢ Now these children donââ¬â¢t consider their disabilities as their weakness.
Vimukt avem Ghumantu Jati Programme for Hunter Caste (Mogya-Bawaria):-
Mogya-Bawaria is the Hunter community living in the forests of Ranthambhor Tiger Project.This community consists of illitrate people who are mostly super-stitous. They are living in forests and hunting animals for generations and this has made them separate from society. They have always stayed away from cities and towns and always lived in the forests.Due to this they have stayed un-touched from most of the development schemes and government plans for education, health and medical. People of this community doesnââ¬â¢t live at a place for long time ,they move from one place to another in a month or two.This makes hard to educate their children.To make people of this community aware of the consequences of hunting animals and destroying forests Prayas Sanstha started this programme . The sole purpose of this project is to bring these people in the mainstream of society.Sanstha is conducting an educational programme for children of this community. A Hostel was started for children of this community so that they can get good Education ,become self-dependent and leave their hunting profession.This way their generation can get to know the importance of environment ,forest and animals. Sanstha is providing Hostel and Education facility to these children free of cost. The effects of hard work of Prayas Sanstha have started showing.One student got awarded a Laptop for securing 1st rank in the class and 3 students were awarded PC Tablet by district collector and MLA.
Vocational Training Centre:- For Divyang Prayas Sanstha is organizing vocational training centre for their self employment.
Old Age Home:- The process of social change and modernization have thrown the life on fast tracks and often left with no time for our senior citizens. They feel neglected and unwanted at this stage of life. The declining physical strength and other geriatric ailments add to their problems Prayas Sanstha is working to serve its old aged citizens.NGO is providing residential accommodation, food, medical support, library, entertainment and other facilities to the aged persons.
