AchieveMents: Rajasthan Nat Samaj Sudhar Samiti was founded in the year 1996. Some of the concerned person of the community had thought to embark on the journey to remove the social stigma i.e. “sex work” attached to the name of the community “Nat”. Historically, the community has been involved with the work of providing sexual services for royal classes but with the end of the regime of different kingdoms the business diverted towards other sections of the society DETAILS OF THE WORK Self help group formation Some 50 self help groups are working in some 20 locations of the working area. Major issues which are covered in the self help group:- Account opening, general discussions with the members, timely reports on amount exit with the groups, personal hygiene, education for the children and goat and chicken rearing, Some visitors from Delhi based organization had visited the self help groups World AIDS day 8TH MARCH, 09 Major activities which were organized at all the locations of the work area are:- Essay writing, drawing and question raise to seek answer. Life skill program Major issues which are covered under life skill education:- Provided information, Physiology of body, adolescents changes in the body, coping with the tension, decision making, constructive thinking, problem solving, emotion management, and watching movies like Nanhe Jaisalmer. Sponsorship program It was undertaken at all the locations and following activities were undertaken in the work of area:- To make them understand the sponsorship program, children weight and height were taken, essay competition, poetry and drawing competition. Tuition prgramme Tuition centers were developed at all the locations to provide basic education to the children and adolescents Following subjects were covered:- English and mathematics and Hindi grammar Youth Clubs meetings It was undertaken at all the locations and following activities were undertaken with the youth clubs:- Youth group accounts were opened, loan repayment reports, some failed to pay it, on unemployment and on cricket trophy competition Meeting of sex workers It was undertaken at all the locations and following activities were undertaken with the youth clubs Information on HIV/AIDS, Sexual transmitted infection, to test the status of the blood, infection due to poor hygiene habits, personal hygiene, family planning, on police raids, Immunization and distribution of condoms Survey At all the locations surveys based on some points like, condom demand, health inputs and incomes education level were carried out to design the work as per the requirements of the community. Child care centers It was undertaken at all the locations and following activities were undertaken with the centers:- Hindi and English alphabets, health drinks, tuition of the students, competition on handicraft items making, sports competition and Distribution of stationary items on the centers. Care of PLWHA Fulfillment of Nutrition requirements of HIV infected persons on monthly basis Taking HIV infected persons to the ART centers:- Some 25 plus HIV infected persons were taken by the staff members to the ART centers in Jaipur to took the medicines. The staff members had counseled them and held meetings with the families of the infected persons. Medical camps It was undertaken at all the locations the details of which are given below:- Duration- 2- 4 hours For treatment of general ailments some 30 medical camps were organized in the project area. General ailments which were treated are- Fever, cold, cough, vomiting, pain in stomach, Diarrhea, itching. Summer camps Topics discussed:- Creation of earth Creation of human beings Discussion on god Singing Training of volunteers of organization Some two trainings were organized for some 30 volunteers of the organization in the district of Ajmer. Major issues covered under the trainings:- Issues related to HIV/ AIDS, Sexual transmitted infection, self help group formation and life skill education
