RASTA Key Issues and Operational Areas, Major Activiities & Achivements

AchieveMents: Activities: Universalization of Education: To improve quality of education by running formal and non formal education centers, incorporating different innovations for all age groups with special emphasis on girl child and people living below the poverty line. To reduce the number of ‘out of school’ children. Community Health: To implement comprehensive community health programs with special focus on women and children. Community Organization: To organize the underprivileged into self-help groups, to facilitate them to unite for collective action to realize their rights and under-take infrastructural development for schools, parks, play-grounds etc. Work for long-term integrated community empowerment/development programmes. Socio-economic development: To identify skills, arrange training for its enhancement and support them in income generating activities to promote self-reliance in the less privileged community. To provide employment opportunities to youths as per their capability. Achievements: Educated more then 7000 and mainstreamed 2500 Children. Rasta is engaged in integrated child development, community health and women empowerment. Awareness of provisions of RTI Act has enabled marginalized community to get enforced their rights. Two projects (1 for Minority girls) exclusively for girls education are in hand. Total 770 girls are studying in our centers, out of which 300 are from minority community. Department of Education Delhi Govt. has evaluated us Grade A organization.
