AchieveMents: Roshni is a social enterprise dedicated to alleviating poverty in India by empowering girls to realize their highest potential.Our mission is to empower a new generation of economically self sufficient and socially responsible women who will uplift their families out of poverty and who will catalyze the economic and social progress of the nation as a whole.Roshni works in partnership with various schools in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh to conduct its training programs and empowers underprivileged girls through Employability and Life Skills Trainings.
Founded in 2008 by Ms. Saima Hasan, Roshni has trained over 10,000 girls and empowered over 50,000 family and community members. Over 90% of Roshni alumni have broken the cycle of poverty and are pursuing higher education along with part time employment while others have been awarded academic scholarships through Roshni.
