AchieveMents: Major activities carried out: Over the years, various programmes are carried out in Thurinjapuram block of Tiruvannamalai District. Some of the major activities carried out are as follows:-  Provided Non-formal education to 625 Dalit children for 25 centres.  Evening coaching classes to 450 children at 30 centres.  Helped to 385 aged persons to get old age pension.  Implemented 15 Bore wells for drinking water.  Helped to receive house sites for 1216 houseless people.  Construction of 21 Houses  Conducted many health camps, eye camps, dental camps and herbal health camps.  Disability awareness camps.  Vocational training for disabled.  Rehabilitation of differently abled.  Placement services to the differently abled people.  Organic cultivation.  Programmes for small farmers/marginal farmers.  Dry land cultivation for food security.  HIV/AIDS Awareness programmes.  Distribution of free books / note books to poor children, every year.  Women’s self help groups (around 500 SHGs for women and 52 SHGs for youth).  Environment programmes  Skill training for women and youth.  Capacity development programmes for Dalits.  Health and sanitation programme.  Dalit Rights Federation programmes.  Tsunami Relief Programmes and disaster management.  Savings and Income Generation Programmes for rural women.  Children’s development programmed / children’s garden.  Micro finance and micro credit  Promotion of Herbal plant.  Children sponsorship programme.  Bio-diversity.
