AchieveMents: Samrakshan has helped the people in 24 villages displaced from the Kuno wildlife sanctuary to re-establish livelihoods based on farming, forest produce gathering, self-employment and wages. Samrakshan has helped to improve learning outcomes among school-going children in the resettled villages. It has also worked for over a decade in the Baghmara-Balpakram Tiger Reserve in Meghalaya to improve local community participation in conservation of elephants and other biodiversity.
