AchieveMents: Major Activities/Achievements Sankar Madhav Sanskritik Samaj, Jorhat, Assam established on 22nd November 2011, which was affiliated by the Register of societies Govt. of Assam vide their memo no. 14210070/5474 dated 4/11/2015. The organisation is undertaking the programmes for promotion and development of Educational, social, Art & culture, Rural development ,Health, Women and Child welfare and Agriculture. During last 5 years the organisation have done the following activities for promotion and welfare of the society. 1. Workshop on Srimanta Sankardeva’s Ankia Bhaona. 2. Workshop &training on folk dance(Bihu) every year from time to time. 3. Organised workshop on Sattria culture every year in the month of July. In the year 2016 we have executed a 5 days workshop from 27/7/2016 to 31/7/2016 on Ankia Nitya-geet and a demonstration held on 31/7/2016 successfully. 4. The organisation have also stage Srimanta Sankardeva’s Ankia Nat “Ram Vijoy”, “Rukmini Haran”, “Keli Gopal” and “ Parijat Haran” in various districts of Assam and have able to secure must support and praise from the spectator. Beside this we will also undertake the other activities as mentioned above in near future. In this connection we would like to bring your kind attention that the Cultural Affairs Govt. of Assam Cultural Centre Jorhat have provide a certificate regarding our performance and experience in Sattria Culture since 2011. We also like to mention here that we have a plan to trained up and promote the young children and youth to the Sattria Culture.
