AchieveMents: 1. First to experiment on minimalism under the banner of Sunday Theatre. 2. First Bengali group to produce multi lingual play named Return of Godot 3. Since 2000 to 2003 has been winning at the Kali Bari One Act Play Competition for plays Arokto Shomoy, Sitar Nirbashon, Canvasse Kankaboti, Return of Godot and Janmantor. 4. Since 2002 have been performing at NSD Week end Theatre. 5. Performed at V Bharat Rang Mahotsav with play Dakshinapath. 6. Performed at Legends of India with play Atmadaho. 7. Playwright and Director Torit Mitra was felicitated by Chittaranjan Park Community and Chittaranjan Park Bangiya Samaj by Gunijon Sambardhana (Eminent Citizen Honour). 8. In 2006 hosted a collaborative event with Royal Norwegian Embassy entitle Elegance of Ibsen commemorating death centennial of Sir Henrik Ibsen. The festival was inaugurated by Mr. Jon Westborg, former Ambassador of Royal Embassy and included a seminar, an exhibition and performances of our two plays Anik and Bohubrihee. Records of the festival has been placed in the archival database of www.ibsen.net, which is in close association with Centre for Ibsen Studies, Oslo. 9. Sansaptak has hosted festival of plays for five consecutive years in Kolkata. It has also been invited by Sanglaap, Aneek, Sohon and Ganga Jamuna International Theatre Festival. 10. Zawal-e-Azim and Devanampiya have been awarded the title Utkrisht Natak (Best Play) and performed in Bharatendu Natya Utsav. 11. The group has ventured into Hindi plays producing Hari Bhari Khwaish, Na Hanyate, Zawal-e-Azim, Garbh, Macbeth-Macbeth, Nidaan and Anavrit; all translations of original Bengali plays of Torit Mitra. 12. Zawal-e-Azim has been performed at Delhi International Arts Festival under Sangeet Natak Academi Theatre Festival in 2009. 13. Director and playwright, Torit Mitra, awarded as one of the best directors in Delhi by Sahitya Kala Parishad, and group performed Garbh at Bhartendu Natya Utsav 2011. 14. Organised seminars Empty Space (national level), Swayam Vadanti (regional level), bi-lingual book launch under Ministry of Culture’s TCGS titled ‘Home and the World / Ghar aur Baahar’ with chief guest Dr. Karan Singh, honourable President of ICCR and collection of Torit Mitra’s four Hindi plays, book titled ‘Hari Bhari Khwaish tatha Anya Natak’, 2011-2012.
