AchieveMents: A group of benevolent people of Ashutosh Colony and Shahidnagar Colony area established SAUJATYA for the people of the locality on the 1st day of April1972. They thought that to work for mankind is more important than any other things. They dreamt of a socialistic pattern of society. Every human being has treamendous potentiality but they are not aware of their own strength. The Managing Committee of Saujatya tried to kindle the light in the lives of poor, uneducated and ignored people of the India. The Managing Committee has started five units the CULTURAL UNIT, DRAMA UNIT, MEDICAL UNIT, RELIEF UNIT AND SPORTS UNITS. After sometime, the organisation has started Social Welfare Unit to improve the Social Economic status of the local people. Hence forth, the organisation has been working in the field of HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT by expending programmes day by day. RAJIB GANDHI NATIONAL CRECHE SCHEME, to give shelter, food and medicine to the children of working mothers and illness mothers throughout the year free of cost. SHORT-STAY-HOME is established for the destitute women. They will stay there upto 3 years with their children of below 7 years. They will get shelter, food and clothing. They will stand on their own foot within three years through different types of vocational training. HELP LINE 10923 to rescue and to help the distress women through telecounselling. WOMEN WORKING HOSTEL, the women who are working and receiving maximum of Rs. 300 per month, are may be permission to stay there with minimum cost. FAMILY COUNSELLING CENTRE, it is started to solve the Family problem through counselling and shelter to the destitute women. Above mention programmes are guided and sponsored by the Central Social welfare Board, Govt. of India. BALWADI, to give nutritious food to the malnutritious children are of 3 to 6 years and pregnant mother throughout the yearfree of cost. This programme supported by the West Bengal Social Welfare Advisory Board. SWADHAR SHELTER HOME it is started for mentally ill women and girls. They will stay there free of cost. They will receive food, clothing, medicine, vocational training and rehabilitation etc.This programme sponsored by the Ministry of Women and Children Development, Govt. of India. DESTITUTE HOME, the children from 5 to 18 years are living here free of cost. They are getting food, clothing, medicine and education at free of cost. This programme sponsored by the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Directorate of Social Welfare, Govt. of West of Women. SARBA SIKSHA AVIJAN, this centre is working for disable children in the locality to Sonarpur B.D.O. and Rajpur Sonarpur Municipality at free of cost. This programme is sponsored by Ministry of Education, Govt. of West Bengal. We also convey our gratefulness to all the staff, officers and all concerned of various departments of Govt. of West Bengal, Govt. of India and Local Government authorities and local people.
