It was originally a dance drama technique called as Kuchipudi Bhagavatam / Yakshagana presented only by men. As mentioned in the literatures, siddhendra Yogi, the chief architect of kuchipudi trained a group of young Brahmin boys in this art form to tell stories from the Bhagavatam.. Even the feminine roles were played by men.. Kuchipudi also branched out as a solo form welcoming women into it.

This was held on 30th and 31st July at Bangalore.
