AchieveMents: SILPA KANON -Established in 2006 with a workshop of drama organized by National School of Drama, New Delhi. Organized two more drama workshop in collaboration with National School of Drama in 2007 &2008 in Nagaon. Organized folk dance workshops and Mask making workshops every year from 2008 to till date. Organized drama workshops for young artiste and children workshops on acting, painting and drawing every year from 2008 to till date. participated in Jashn-e- Bachpan with drama called Kazirangat Hahakar in 2009 Organized by TIE Company National School of Drama. Participated in Bal Sangam with dance program organized by TIE Company, National School of Drama for two times in the year 2007, 2008. Participated in national theater festival in Patna,Bihar(2012)with the play Prem Bine Nahi Dharma Aan, Participated in National Theatre festival podi Garhwal, uttarakhand (2007) with the play Jerengar Sati. Inviting regularly Aakar kala Sangam, New Delhi to perform their new plays in Nagaon (Assam) from 2010 to till date every year. Plays called Aur Agle Saal, Aath Ghante, Sonata, Saari Raat, Marnoprant etc. Silpa Kanon organized a Festival called “Shaishavar Drishti re” in 2008 (own plays festival) The Chief of Silpa Kanon Dakshina Sharma is an alumni of national School of Drama (2002) and the Chairman of Silpa Kanon, Mr. Suman Vaidya is also an alumni of NAtional School of Drama (1996). The Chief of Silpa Kanon Dakshina Sharma has received Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi in 2010. In 2016 Silpa Kanon organized a 30 days theatre workshop (production oriented) in may 2016 play called Sonar Anguthi Directed by Dakshina Sharma. Some important Plays presented by Silpa Kanon – Jyotir Jolongar Emuthi, Ram Bijoy, Kaziranga Hahakar, Swapnor Jagat, Kathgharat Bhagwan, Dusari Duniya, Amak Kheliboloi Dia, Upahar ne Binimay, Boroxun, Jerengar Sati, Rupalim, Lobhita, Sonit Kuwari, Karengor Ligiri, Nimati Koina, Sonar Anguthi, Rati Puwabar Hole, Bhagwadajjukam etc.
