AchieveMents: SNEHA BHAVAN IS A NON-GOVERMRNTAL OGANISTION.I t was established in 1994 for the female drug user,alchoholic,widow affected/infected with HIV/AIDS and their children. sneha bhavan organized various programmes and activites for the drug users so that they may adopt positive life style.The activites are vocation training like:weaving,tailoring,flowermaking,basketmaking,pillow designing,purse making,poultry,piggery etc.The organization olso conducted sensitization of different community leaders on women empowering,health hygiene,their legal right and the educational support of the children.The organization is presently focusing on the most affected five districts of the state ie chandal,Imphal west,Imphal east.thoubal,charachumpur.Since 2010 , the orgnisation has not less than 7-10 children passing higher secondary and senior higher secondary every year.The organization is giving treatment to more than 180-190 females drugs addicts and alcoholics every year.The organistion also reached out to more than 1000 families through CHAHA project.The oganisation receives help from VIDES international for the children education.Sneha Bhavan de-addiction and rehabilitation is sponsord by the Ministry of Justice and Empowerment,Government of India from 1998-1999.Those who lose job due to alcoholic where place back to their job.Many Women are living quality life through vocational training , self help group, through treatment.
