ST PAULS INSTITUTE Key Issues and Operational Areas, Major Activiities & Achivements

Operational Districts: Churachandpur

Operational States: MANIPUR

AchieveMents: St. Paul’s Institute is a co-educational institution established in 1986 with an aim to provide quality education to the people living in the economically backward hilly regions of Manipur. From its humble beginnings, the Institute has grown up to be one of the best schools in the district. Currently affiliated to CBSE, it has classes from Nursery to Class XII (Science, Arts & Commerce). The number of students in our school are increasing year by year. In order to accommodate such a large number of students, new classrooms had to be set up. As such, two adjacent buildings were constructed. Huge amount of loans was taken from the bank in order to fund the construction of the required buildings. The Institute depends purely on the fees received from the students. Keeping in mind the low economic status of the people, fees charged are paltry compared to those schools located in other places like the cities and indeed not enough for the expenses required for the construction of the same. However, the last thing we wanted was to compromise on our mission of providing quality education to the students. Therefore, loans were acquired from outside sources for the construction of the buildings required. As the needs of the student community changes with the advent of technology and new pedagogy, more rooms are required for the conduct of science laboratories, mathematics laboratories, language laboratories, computer laboratories etc. The latest in teaching aids like LCD projectors and TVs are installed in the classes to enhance the teaching and learning process. Moreover, specialised rooms like audio-visual room, sick room etc. needs to be set up. We feel that all these are required to provide proper and quality education. Therefore, lots of expenses are incurred to maintain our quality of education. We strive to provide education on par with schools from cities who charge 10 times the amount of fees which we charge in our school. Therefore, support and assistance from the government are highly appreciated so that we will not falter in our mission of providing education.
