STARS WELFARE SOCIETY 2004 Key Issues and Operational Areas, Major Activiities & Achivements

Operational Districts: Kolkata

Operational States: WEST BENGAL

AchieveMents: A mid day meal is provided and children who do not get to eat a proper meal are given a nutritious hot meal. Several children who have grown up now are working in TCS, Lexus, managers in restaurants in Raipur, assistant chefs and teaching in village schools. Recently we have added candle making and chocolate making in a more systematic way. This will empower the women and be self sustained and run their homes. We have also enabled women to make paper bags and sell them.
