AchieveMents: SUNAINA Society for the Upliftment of National Arts of India has been dedicatedly working for the propagation of our culture through education, training, presentations and research in the therapeutic and beneficial effects of India Classical Dances on the Mind and the Body of the Learner. In this Direction: •SUNAINA was registered in 4th April 1994 under the Societies Registration Act 1860. •The first book Indian Classical Dances its Therapeutic Advantages was released by Sahitya Kala Parishad in a grand function at Triveni Kala Sangam which was lauded by press and media. Encouraging reviews came in TOI, Hindustan Times, Statesman etc. •Many lecture demonstrations were conducted in schools and institutions like IGNCA IIC Delhi Tamil Sangam etc in and all over India. •SUNAINA WHICH WAS REGISTERED WITH THE song AND Drama Division has presented with its talented artistes about 300 performances in the JJ colonies on social issues like prohibition, terrorism child labor etc. •The training wing of SUNAINA Sudhakar many dance dramas Krishna Leela Tarangini Silapatikarama Rama Nataka Keertanas Nasha hi Nasha Swarasangam, Ashtalakshmi the Woman Nrityabharati is affiliated as a full fledged examination centre and conducts examinations upto degree level and trains upto M.A. level . Every year about 300 candidates both external and internal appear for the practical and theory exams. •Nritybharati run by SUNAINA has also presented dance dramas choreographed by the President Guru Smt Kanaka Bala Ramayanam etc. •Every year Nrityabharati students participate in the National level competitions at Cuttack Pune and Dehradun and have won 23 to 22 trophies every time. •Every year SUNAINA presents the Annual Functions presenting seminars Annual programs etc. •Every year in January 15 to 17 SUNAINA presents INDRADHANUSH Festival for young professional artistes . •Every year SUNAINA presents CONFLUENCE a merging of Traditions in which Manipuri Kathak and Bharatanatyam were merged •SUNAINA runs an education wing BMSCAC for the poor children of daily wagers and Afghanistan refugees etc. which is and innovative English medium school. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SOCIETY •To promote young and deserving artists in the field of dance and music •To run programs of dance and music curriculum to make the learners sand on their own legs as performers choreographers and artistes. •To create awareness among the pubic through lecture demonstrations and seminars on the benefits and treasures of dance. •To present dance and music performances all over India and abroad on various themes to spread awareness among the masses on the greatness of these art forms. •To publish write and distribute books journals magazines that enlighten the mass on the greatness of the arts. •To make programs on social themes using classical dance •To approach the Govt. for grants to present festivals conferences and seminars on dance and music and other art forms. •To set an education system where art culture and spiritualism is part and parcel of the education system.
