AchieveMents: SWADHIN, a registered trust, registered office at Gushkara, Aushgram Road, Burdwan has started during the year 2009.
The Mission includes, empowering the target group with knowledge and skill across various sectors, thus enabling to earn social and economic status.
The Objectives includes, establishing Educational, Technical, and Vocational Institutions and operating such institutions with desired outcome for the benefit of the target group without any profit.
Our Endeavours are as follows-
1. SANTINIKETAN INSTITUTE OF POLYTECHNIC offering Diploma courses in 6 Branches with seating capacity of 2052 students
2. SANTINIKETAN INSTITUTE OF POLYTECHNIC is empanelled training provider under SDIS and has trained 1051 students till now in 10 different sectors out of which 1041 students have already been placed.
3. SANTINIKETAN D.Ed. COLLEGE providing D.Ed courses with 100 intake capacity.
4. SANTINIKETAN D.Ed College is empanelled training provider under SDIS and has trained 313 students till now in 4 different sectors out of which 311 students have already been placed.
5. SANTINIKETAN B.Ed. COLLEGE providing B.Ed courses with 200 intake capacity.
6. SANTINIKETAN PRIVATE ITI offering 5 Trades with intake capacity of 230 students.
7. 10 VTC offering Short Term courses with NCVT Certification in around 30 Modules with seating capacity of 1200 students
8.Further SWADHIN has been offered as a Private Training Provider through RFP and awarded by Government of West Bengal to operate 10 ITIs in PPP mode. According to PPP architecture, SWADHIN is responsible for bringing in all the training equipments,experienced faculties, learning resources and operation of these ITIs including day to day management and also be responsible for achieving predefined KPIs against charges paid by Government of West Bengal as per the tripartite Concession Agreement between GoWB, SWADHIN and NSDC. The role of GoWB includes creating the basic infrastructure viz. land, building, electricity, approach road, water supply etc. These ITIs will be offering CTS courses leading to NTC from NCVT in 15 different Trades with seating capacity of 3717 students.
9.SWADHIN has spread its operation in far flaung and difficult areas of the country. SWADHIN opened 2 Private ITIs. Those are SWADHIN TRIPURA PRIVATE ITI offering Fitter and Electrician Trades at Tripura and SWADHIN PORT BLAIR ITI offering IT and Electrician Trades at Port Blair.
10.SWADHIN also receive PRN from MoRD and has submitted proposal for implementing DDUGKY, under MoRD, Government of India targeting to uplift the skillsets of rural youth and to provide them with attractive job offers.
Thus today SWADHIN has developed sturdy organizational competencies in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Training with a highly motivated and dedicated team and ready to undertake any venture in the domain to realize the mission.
