AchieveMents: TANSTIA FNF SERVICE CENTRE TFSC is a collaborative venture between Tamil Nadu Small Tiny Industries Association TANSTIA, Chennai and Friedrich Naumann Foundation FNF, Germany, established to promote entrepreneurship and to provide supporting services to MSMEs industries. The centre was inaugurated on August 26, 1992 by Shri. R. Venkataraman, Former President of India. Our Mission is to encourage new entrepreneurs and enable the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs attain all round capabilities and to lead the way towards high performance thereby enhancing their participation in the national and global economy. TFSC is an ISO certified professional organization providing different services like Training, Consultancy, Information and hand holding, to micro and small enterprises spread across the state of Tamilnadu. It was also choosen as the best Project under Information services to Small Scale Industries during Expo 2000 Hannover.
TANSTIA being the Apex State Level Association for small industries has a cross section of members from different districts and different regions. It has more than 1500 individual members and all District Associations in its fold. TFSC works very closely with the District Associations. Apart from these associations, we have individuals from different places seeking our services regularly. Hence the reach for TFSC is far and wide. In addition TFSC works very closely with the other small enterprises promotional bodies both Government like TANSIDCO, District Industries Centres etc., and non Govt. and banks and others. This make us more reachable to many small entrepreneurs throughout the state of Tamilnadu.
The Centre has a panel of around 250 consultants on various fields and through whom the Centre provides advisory services to entrepreneurs. The Centre also provides inhouse training programmes for the MSMEs industries on various topics like Kaizen and 5 S, Total Quality Management, Energy Management, Waste Minimisation, Cleaner Production etc. It also assists the MSME units to get ISO 9000 accreditation.
TFSC has now acquired Gold rating from NABET, for its performance to SMEs. TFSC has taken up STED Project in Tiruvallur, Vellore and Kanchipuram successfully, since 2008. TFSC is a major assessing body for Modular Employable Skills scheme of the Ministry of Labour Employment.
TFSC has been providing yeomen service to the MSME sector for nearly two decades now.
