AchieveMents: 1. Recipient of “Best Practices of Rehabilitation” Recognition from the International Best Practices in Psychosocial Rehabilitation Committee, Boston University, Centre for Psychiatric Rehabilitation, MAS, USA (1996-97). 2. Validation and Accountability and Credibility by Charities Aid Foundation India and Planning Commission, Government of India (2000). 3. Nominated as Co-Founder of International Mental Health Collaborating Network towards Community Mental Health and Citizenship, France (2006). 4. Listed in SOSVA’s (Society for Service to Voluntary Agencies) Guide for Donors to NGOs (1996). 5. Founder Member of Asia Pacific Forum of Richmond Fellowship Organisations 6. First NGO in the country to start the training programme followed by a Post Graduate course leading to M.Sc. degree in Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Counselling meeting the needs of rehabilitation professionals under manpower development, as envisaged under Persons with Disabilities Act. 7. Only National agency in the field of Psychosocial Rehabilitation with branches at 4 centres in the country 8. First NGO to start Dare Care with vocational training in the State of Karnataka (1997). 11. Starting of the rural project and providing community outreach services. 12. Joint Collaboration with RF New Zealand and RF Lanka Project “NGO Capacity Building for strengthening Families and Community” funded by VASS, New Zealand. Faculty members of RF PG College are providing training programme to the volunteers from various NGOs engaged in Tsunami Relief work in Batticaloa, Sri Lanka. 13. Providing Consultancy Services for starting of a branch of Richmond Fellowship at Colombo, Sri Lanka and mental health services at Richmond Fellowship, Kathmandu, Nepal. 14. One of the recognized centres for overseas students for training in psychosocial rehabilitation. 15. Recommended by the Office of the Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, Karnataka to be designated as Mother NGO to assist Government in activities related to Psychiatric Rehabilitation. A new Rural Branch(5th Branch of RFSI) was established in Ramanagara in Karnataka. The Richmond Fellowship Society(India) celebrated its Silver Jubilee of its inception on 10th of July, 2011. The Richmond Fellowship Society(India) participated in the Empower Project which is a collaboration between leading Global Mental Health Research Institution(The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and five other NGOs.
