WHALE INDIA FOUNDATION Key Issues and Operational Areas, Major Activiities & Achivements

Operational Districts: Ramanathapuram

Operational States: TAMIL NADU

AchieveMents: We have conducted a beach clean-up program in September at Kilakarai, Ramanathapuram every year. The main objective of this beach clean-up initiative is to reduce the amount of litter in the beaches of the Gulf of Mannar coasts by creating awareness regarding the impact of litter on our beaches and surrounding aquatic habitats. Reducing litter on our coastal zones will prevent marine pollution and continuous damage to this important ecosystem.
