Total 110 bacterial strains were isolated from root nodules of different leguminous plants. Out of which 22 bacterial isolates showing good EPS production were secondarily screened. Out of 22 bacterial isolates 9 isolates showing maximum EPS production in broth were identified by some morphological, biochemical characteristics, 16s rRNA sequencing, and API Vitek2 system.bacterial strains showing maximum EPS production were used for further studies and effect of different parameters were checked.

Isolated two bacterial strains showing maximum EPS production were used for further studies and effect of different parameters were checked on EPS production by YC7 (Cronobacter dublinensis subsp. dublinensis DES187(T)) and YC10 (Cronobacter muytjensii ATCC 51329 (T)). Both the strains showed maximum EPS production with all optimized YC 7 gives maximum 4.0 g/l EPS as per dry weight and 920µg/ml estimated by assay method. gives 4.3g/l EPS as per dry weight and 980µg/ml estimated by assay method
