AchieveMents: The mission of Action for Protection of Wild Animals is to preserve the plants,animals and communities that represent the diversity of life on earth by protecting the natural resources they need to survive.Alarmingly , natural disasters are on a rising trend as as result of many factors including climate change, rapid environmental degradation in Odisha state. The goal is promoting the rights of traditional and indigenous community, including artisans, fishers, farmers, to sustainable manage their resources. We are also working towards reversing the rapid loss of mangrove forest, life supporting system and promoting a sustainable use of this ecosystem. Our works bring together community participation in implementing ecosystem based adaptation to climate change.Our approaches are also focused o disaster risk reduction programme in coastal villages.It supports innovations in appropriate technologies and sustainable climate resilient livelihoods that help communities supplement their incomes.
