AchieveMents: Curbing child labour in the country. Addressing issues of children in distress and child health. Counseling and welfare initiatives with parents and children. World day against child labour campaigns. Child labourers rescued from hazardous industries. Advocacy for policy level changes. Mapping of child labour. Formation of state and district level task force for elimination of child labour. Raids & rescue of children from bonded labour. Core committee on child rights. Addressed the issues of child trafficking. Safeguarded vulnerability of children in natural disasters. Worked on issues of juveniles languishing in prisons of different states. Addressed the issues of children with disabilities. We have also filed many Human Right petitions / cases with the National Human Rights Commission and State Human Rights Commission. General Issues raised with the authorities: For sufficient wide roads, Flyovers, adequate space for parking and for proper transportation & for an organized traffic system, to maintain the congestion of traffic at Dahisar under the guidance of One Mass Traffic management programme. Raised the issue of up gradation and advance medical equipment for Bhagwati Municipal Hospital. Demand for play grounds and cultural centres to encourage the youth in sports & cultural activities. Advocated for Nana Nani Park / Health Centres for Senior Citizens. Made available toilets for people staying in small pockets of Dahisar areas. Establishment of a Centre for youth development. Solve the water problems of the growing population of Dahisar area. Established passenger assisting booths at CST & Dadar from the year 1994 till 2000 to assist specially passengers, differently-abled and senior citizens. Held several demonstrations to start new trains from Mumbai to North India & other parts of the country. Also held several meetings and demonstrations for the safety of women and children in local trains and also got sanction for setting up of CCTV cameras at all the railway stations. Under the slogan of “Everyone’s Mumbai Safe Mumbai” several programmes were organized for the cleanliness of Mumbai. Providing needy children with school bags, note books, pens, compass boxes and school fees. Organised several medical camps in the slum pockets of Mumbai. Distributed food grain, medicines, clothes, foot wear and other useful items to the Adivasis. Distributed food grain, medicines, school bags and other needy items in the orphanages of Mumbai. Distributed medical equipment and water coolers to various MCGM hospitals, such as S.K. Patil, B. N Desai, Bhagwati Hospital and many more.
