Natureâs Club in partnership with Tata Power Community Development Trust (TPCDT) started an endeavor to strengthen the Naraj-Marthapur Agarbati production unit and Sidheswar Agarbati Producer Group from April this year and to develop a sustainable business plan in three years with an objective of providing income opportunities to 30 dalit and poor women.
AchieveMents: Natures Club started working with environment and wild life in Bhitakanika wild life sanctuary in inaccessible parts of Kendrapara District in 1994 and soon found out that children in the periphery villages and rural pockets are in very difficult situation in 1995. Natures Club coordinated the first pulse polio immunization programe in Kendrapara district.Our partnership with UNICEF started from there and continued till 2003. In which we worked in prevention of malnutrition and child rights and child protection and Meena initiative and Meena club concept. A unique social change tool was invented by Natures Club. A documentary film on our Meena activites was developed by UNICEF national office named some where over the rainbow one of our project participant Jyotirmayee Mahapatra was awarded by international youth foundation as young social entrepreneur for her roll as Meena. Natures Club also acted as the district NGO coordinating agency of the child environment project support.
