AchieveMents: Our society is dedicated towards the Artisans of the country. The prime requirement of the rural Artisans is to unite and form a business oriented group. That entails them to move ahead, negotiate and chalk out future plan on their own terms. In old days, formation of such guilds was very normal and allowed our Artisan and their art to grow. However with passage of time, the culture of the guild disappeared from our country, rendering the Artisans alone and helpless. This is where our society is contributing. We organize the Artisans in to community based enterprises like SHG or COOPs etc. Thus we make them in to a group of active entrepreneurs and primary stakeholders in the process of development. Our activity can be further summarized as under ââ¬â1) Regularly organize the training programs for our artisans. Educate them in to new technics, new designs and the latest market trend. The purpose is to bring them at par with the market-trend. We also invite the faculties from various fields , many a times with active support from the govt bodies, so that our artisans can interact freely. 2) We fully understand that, focusing only on the commercial part is not sufficient. Hence ,we also consider the social and familial structure of our villages. Thus we specially organize the training modules for our women artisans. Not only we cover the technical issues, but we specifically cover the issues related to literacy & girl child, sanitation, child upbringing and introducing the basics of finance/banking. 3) Supporting our artisans to market their products is the most crucial part of our entire activity. If our trained Artisans are not able to find a customer, then the whole purpose of the activity is defeated. We organize the marketing events for our artisans on national level. Thus we bridge the gap between our artisans and the potential customer. These events are well planned and artisans are informed in advance about schedule. We strive to have maximum participation. Thus our society is in an active supportive role, in every stage of development. From initial training up to marketing, we take care of our artisans at every step.
